NEWBURYPORT, Mass., June 22, 2017 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- The Online Learning Consortium (OLC), the leading professional organization devoted to advancing the quality of online learning worldwide, today announced that the deadline to submit for the 2017 Digital Learning Innovation Award competition has been extended through July 15 to accommodate a late rush of submission activity.
Now in its second year, the #DLIAward competition recognizes exemplary higher education faculty-led teams and institutions for advancing undergraduate student success through the adoption of digital courseware in undergraduate programs.
Submissions from accredited U.S.-based applicants will be accepted in two categories: institution (up to three will be awarded) and faculty-led team (up to 10 will be awarded). Each award is accompanied by a monetary reward: $100,000 for institutions and $10,000 for faculty-led teams.
"We have seen a flurry of submissions initiated in recent days and want to ensure all eligible applicants have the opportunity to complete the submission process," said Nori Barajas-Murphy, Director, Grant Projects, OLC. "We are very excited to see this year's class of digital courseware implementations, which will be evaluated during two rounds of judging this summer."
DLIAward recipients will be announced at the OLC Accelerate 2017 conference, which takes place Nov. 15-17, in Orlando, Florida.
