Boston area job seekers showed up in record-breaking numbers to the Seaport on Saturday, September 9, 2023, to attend a mobile career event hosted by Insight Global. The career fair is part of a mobile event series, the Be the Light Tour, which aims to empower and serve communities by providing direct access to job-readiness resources and career-building strategies.

All Be the Light Tour events include experts, technology and tools that will help people look for jobs or think about a career change. Whether it’s needing more access to resources, technology or even the childcare that a job search often requires, Insight Global is working to remove these barriers and meet people where they are to enable a better future for them.
Everyone Is Welcome
The Be The Light tour is open to anyone looking to better their job or career. In particular, first-generation college grads, unhoused individuals, individuals with disabilities, LGBTQIA, justice impacted, single-income families, veterans, AAPI (Asian American and Pacific Islander), BIPOC (Black, Indigenous and People of Color) and young adults. Throughout the country, many communities face challenges when it comes to entering the workforce or career betterment—from social and economic inequality to disenfranchisement. Insight Global is on a mission to change that, and in turn, change lives.

Rashad Cope, the Chief of Worker Empowerment from the Mayor’s office (and a Boston native) was in awe of the event and said he has never seen anything like it, sharing that “to have all of these resources in one place and so readily available is something people have needed and can benefit from – this makes it easy to navigate.”
This is the first time Insight Global has brought its mobile career event to the Boston area.
