This month marks the 47th year since the official declaration of Black History Month, when communities across the country celebrate the myriad contributions of Black Americans.

As part of this celebration, there are many organizations whose goal is to support Black communities year-round. The mission of each organization is varied, including issue areas like investing in Black farmers, providing mental health resources, and advocating for anti-racist government policies.

We’ve picked out nine of these organizations with current opportunities on Idealist; if you’re looking for a full-time or part-time role addressing issues that impact Black communities, you may just find your perfect fit!

Black Farmer Fund , New York, NY

A nonprofit that invests in Black farmers and Black-owned food businesses, this organization provides financial and technical assistance to community initiatives in traditionally-underserved communities.
