2026 Train-the-Trainer Workshop in Chicago, IL

TrainSMART’s three-day Train-the-Trainer Workshop in Chicago, IL, prepares internal trainers, subject matter experts, supervisors, and learning professionals to facilitate effective employee training.

Participants learn how adults learn, how to assess training needs, write measurable objectives, organize course content, create active learning experiences, evaluate learning, and guide productive classroom discussions. The workshop also strengthens presentation skills, communication, questioning, feedback, and learner engagement.

The Chicago program is highly participatory and limited to a small class. Participants practice leading training activities, complete a videotaped final presentation, and receive individualized coaching and constructive feedback.

TrainSMART’s Train-the-Trainer program is certified by the International Board of Certified Trainers and incorporates internationally recognized trainer competencies. Eligible graduates may pursue an IBCT trainer credential.

This Chicago workshop is designed for professionals throughout Illinois, Wisconsin, Indiana, and the broader Midwest who want to become more confident and capable trainers.
