Motivational Interviewing/Coaching Sessions is a 15 to 20 minutes evidenced-based method that works on facilitating and engaging intrinsic motivation within the client in order to change behavior. MI is a goal-oriented, client-centered counseling style for eliciting behavior change by helping clients to explore and resolve their ambivalence. The focus of MI is to help the client make positive changes to reduce harmful risk-taking behaviors.
