Identifying Full-Time Employees is an important and sometimes complicated process, but necessary to determine which employees must be offered benefits. Under the Affordable Care Act, applicable large employers (ALEs) must provide offers of coverage to employees that work an average of 30 hours per week. For employers with variable-hour employees, identifying who should receive offers of coverage can be difficult.
