This was not a cookie-cutter training. Michael took the time to get to know our organization and really customized this training for our company. Both the in-person and virtual meetings were interactive and each time employees met, I felt like something new was learned by the group. This training was able to build trust and understanding between managers which is critical in an organization. Michael was not just engaged during the trainings but he was also available to employees outside of group trainings for one-on-one assistance with topics. Working with EngagedLeadership was a really great experience overall. The content of the 4 modules was exactly what we needed for our management teams to absorb. The workbooks provided for each module/session were very useful and designed well. Each session was very engaging for the participants and allowed them to really step away from their day-to-day and step into the role of manager. Our facilitator, Michael Ian Cedar, was really genuine and eager to help our managers actually succeed. The combination of lecture, discussions, breakout groups, and mock scenarios, plus additional dialogue with Michael made for session days that the teams looked forward to. I think the Leadership Mastery Series (what we did) is suited best for folks who used to be individual contributors and have recently been promoted into a people manager role, but it would still serve as a good growth opportunity and unique perspective to learn at any stage of leadership.

Engaged Leadership created a youth leadership training for underserved high school students at one of our partner schools. Our work together was a true collaboration, and centered on the skills our youth need to become leaders in their school community. Engaged Leadership was introduced to us by one of our corporate partners and they instantly got excited about providing key elements of their training program to high school students. For the last two years, Engaged Leadership has invested time and expertise in our students at no cost, bringing their leadership development expertise to South LA teens. Melanie and her team are outstanding, responsive and in tune with the skills our youth need to work in teams, communicate effectively and problem-solve. We started the partnership during the pandemic and all the initial programs were conducted on Zoom. Nevertheless, the students gained a great deal and the partnership is now continuing with both virtual and in-person sessions. I have the most experience with their individual executive coaching resources and really appreciate their thoughtful approach to providing the right coach for each particular client, and the fact that they offer a variety of packages since not every person requires the same exact duration or depth.
