Surrogacy is a long difficult journey and we feel like shooting in the dark for most of the time. Having a Family Building Coach from Vesta made a huge difference for us. We are now at the stage of matching with our surrogate after 4 months of research. We had Lisa from Vesta along the way from day 1 and we would not be here without her. She is absolutely fantastic, very knowledgeable, patient and proactive. Communication is great with her as she is answering all our questions and pointing our attention to the most relevant things. To note the most amazing things she has done for us: - Recommending agencies and clinics, checking facts about these businesses to make sure we work with the best. - Checking agencies' cost sheets and contracts to make sure everything is fair and in our favor. - Reviewing surrogates profiles with us and helping us decide on what is best for us. - Joining calls with the agency to help clarify terms and conditions for the match and other services. - Verifying IVF clinics from other states to see their services and success rates. - Informing us about different laws in different states regarding surrogacy to make sure we are aware of the most recent limitations. - And the most awesome thing: she helped us change the case manager at the agency we are working with. We reached a blocking point at which we were not moving forward after 2 months of waiting for the GC's medical records to be collected, also the former case manager was ghosting us and we lost hope in moving forward with this agency. Lisa reached out to the agency directly, escalated the issue and negotiated with them to have a new case manager. They gave us a new case manager that is on top of the game and got us matched immediately with a different GC that fulfilled all our requirements. We still have a long way to go before we fulfill our dream of growing our family, and I am exhausted already. But having Lisa on our side makes all this seem possible and actually probable to succeed.
