Because the term “employee engagement” has been characterized in many different ways, we will clarify what our research has shown is the most accurate and complete meaning of engagement. For the sake of this exercise, please keep this definition in mind as you answer each item.

Employee engagement refers to the emotional commitment of each individual to the success of the business; characterized by the dimensions of: energy, dedication, and focus.
