The results are turned around much faster than traditional ink fingerprinting depending on the purpose. Live Scan fingerprinting is an ink-less form of electronic fingerprinting that captures fingerprints in a digitized format for transmission to a state repository such as the Florida Department of Law Enforcement and/or the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
