BizMerlinHR is the second HR software we have used and it is beyond our expectations. The application is friendly and has been customized to suit our needs which is something the other software was unable or unwilling to accommodate. We are continuing in the beginning phase, as we just rolled out to our employees, however there is no doubt in my mind BizMerlinHR is the software for our unique time off policies. We all know, however, software is typically only as good as the people behind it since the human element has to imagine it, program it, and most important explain it. Melissa and her team of Diane, Brandon, and I am sure many I have not dealt with, were the driving force for me when it was time to choose a new HR platform. While I was not the final decision maker, I am the point person and she has been vital to Future Services Inc., since the first demo. I have never been a fan of live chat because over and over I have been disappointed with the support person because they were not able to understand my point of view in written form. Melissa and her team seem to understand my thought process with very little explanation and very few words in the chat format. I have found her very knowledgeable and excited about the program while training, implementing, and chatting with me. Not only does she understand me through chat, her knowledge is easily understandable to me as I read her responses. She is able to take this huge, looming, ominous, platform with all the bells and whistles, and help the client focus on the small one thing she or he needs to accomplish at that moment. She has directed our live chats to her team and only her team during this phase which is above and beyond good customer service. It is very important to our company that we follow one very vital rule; the right people for the right seat and Melissa is your right person for the right seat. It quickly hit me when I joined that I needed to first fix the administrative matters in my unit to free the team up to focus on the most important aspect of our work – people. I committed to finding a human resource management software that relieves the administrative processes in my team. I didn’t want to use a spreadsheet to track leave, performance management or the capacity of the organization. Technology has helped me to deal with the administrative aspects of my work. Acquiring a capable HRMS has taken the load of leave, capacity and performance management off me. Our journey towards building a high-performance culture started with our ability to track and measure individual and team performance. The difference for me in the first six months has been like day and night. I was fortunate enough to select a partner like BizMerlin that is responsive and professional. Together, we have customized certain aspects of the software to make it relevant to my organization. I am ready to soar. Next year, I am going to focus on developing people and that’s because I have benefited from great technological support. Leading human capital today requires equipping people to take ownership of basic things so they can commit their energies to what really matters – other people (our colleagues, customers, shareholders, etc.). Investing in technology helps you do just that. Without technology, human capital management may just be administrative, but your team and business deserve more.
