Addressing the issues raised by persistent vacancies is a high priority for many employers. Organizations can increase the likelihood of being considered an employer of choice by creating the right brand. Much like branding products/services, organizations can create a value proposition that attracts, retains and satisfies the right talent. Although “value proposition” in the minds of some consists solely of how much the employer pays this misses the opportunity to appeal to those who care about more than the pay rate. Compensation is always found to be one of the top three considerations when research studies are done, but meaningful work has risen in importance for the last two cohorts entering the workforce.
