2020 was extremely difficult for most of us. The massive changes and uncertainty destabilized everything, the least of which was our planning and managing disciplines. We relied more on tactics than strategies to survive. However, as we enter our second year of this global pandemic, with vaccines on their way, leaders are asking, “It is time to get our business strategy back on track?” Most definitely, it is time to start looking ahead and update our business strategy to achieve post-Covid success. However, there are unique risks in reengaging in long-range planning after such unprecedented times.
