The novel coronavirus (COVID-19) was initially reported in China in December 2019 and, just a mere three months later, declared a pandemic by the World Health Organization. Global anxiety and panic are only one of the immediate effects of the pandemic. The reality is, we are in a period of unprecedentedly rapid and intense changes. Many lives have been altered on multiple levels and catching up with the ongoing changes and the stress that comes along with them can be overwhelming. Whether these changes are social (increased isolation/losing touch with your social circle), occupational, physical, or emotional, the resulting stress has an undeniable negative impact on our self-confidence.
