I-9 Migration & Audit
Every I-9 you bring over gets audited on the way in. We move records from paper, Equifax, First Advantage, or an HCM module into one system, carry the old system's audit trail over as an attachment on each record, and separate substantive errors from technical ones.
That audit cross-checks payroll for missing I-9s, checks expirations, citizenship status, and duplicates, and ends with a record-by-record action plan. A full audit adds a human review of each document image against Sections 1 and 2, with fraud flags. Paperwork fines currently run $288 to $2,861 per form, so we sort what carries a fine from what doesn't.
Teams usually start one after an acquisition, when they inherit another company's I-9s, or when they leave a vendor, find problems in an internal review, or bid on federal work. It's priced per record and often costs less than sending the same files to outside counsel, and the migration runs alongside go-live, so new hires never wait on it.
