I-9 Records Storage & Retention
Our plans don't charge storage fees, so you're not paying every month for the I-9s of people who left years ago. Every record stays active, searchable, and ready to produce when an ICE notice gives you at least three business days.
Each I-9 has to be kept three years after hire or one year after employment ends, whichever is later. A retention report flags the records past their destruction date, and nothing is purged without your instruction, so you stop keeping everything forever or shredding too soon. Paper binders and scans can come in with their original images attached.
Companies that moved new hires into Workday, SAP, or another HCM can keep their historical I-9s with us. Records stay active rather than sitting in a read-only archive, so expiring-document alerts keep firing, Supplement B still works, and you can report and export any time, with storage-only pricing by quote.
