ICA Associates Inc.is a Canadian consulting and training social enterprise that specializes in designing and leading inclusive, participatory group process. We are professional group facilitators and we teach people to do it for themselves. We do it because we believe and have observed how people really can collaborate, think things through, and make good decisions together. We love working with organizations that are led by people who care about the impact they are having and who are genuinely curious about what other people think.

In 1999 ICA Associates Inc. (ICAA) was created by the charity called the Canadian Institute of Cultural Affairs (CICA). That relationship is why we call ourselves a social enterprise. ICAA is licensed by CICA to teach the Body of Knowledge known as the "Technologies of Participation(TM)" or "ToP Methods(TM)". Much of our comprehensive curriculum is approved by the International Association of Facilitators (IAF) because our courses align with the competencies and ethics of the professional association. While we can develop customized training solutions, some of our existing public courses almost "customize themselves" with every group of people who take the courses. The place to start is "Group Facilitation Methods" because you will get a sense of our philosophical and theoretical roots, not just a bag of tools. It is the prerequisite for most other courses like Transformational Strategy, The Art and Science of Participation, and The Power of Image Change. Learn more at our website.
