  • Isaacson, Miller (IM) was founded in 1982; we now have approximately 225 employees located in offices in Boston, Philadelphia, Portland (ME), San Francisco, Los Angeles, and Washington, DC. Our practice in higher education is the nation’s largest. We also work in all areas of nonprofit leadership, including scientific and research organizations, advocacy, arts and culture, conservation and environment, economic and community development, foundation leadership, associations, healthcare, human services, and K-12 education. In other words, we work nearly exclusively with not-for-profit clients. At our core is a commitment to vital civic institutions and to strengthening and diversifying the leadership of those institutions, thereby advancing the public good. We conduct approximately 300 executive searches each year and have completed more than 7,000 searches in the firm’s history.
