Blind Institute of Technology (BIT) is a global nonprofit specializing in staffing, recruiting, and workforce development for professionals with disabilities. Through education, employment placement, and accessible technology initiatives, BIT works to remove barriers to equitable employment while empowering organizations to build high-performing teams.

In 2017, BIT launched the BIT Academy to provide industry-recognized training in Salesforce Administration and Digital Accessibility, equipping professionals with disabilities with the skills needed to compete in today’s workforce. As the only approved training provider for people with disabilities by Salesforce, the Academy serves as a direct pathway to employment through BIT’s nationally Registered Apprenticeship programs, both endorsed by the U.S. Department of Labor.

Supported by an $8M Disability Innovation Fund grant, BIT’s Registered Apprenticeships provide hands-on experience and career opportunities, giving professionals with disabilities a competitive edge in today’s job market. By combining cutting-edge training with direct employment pathways, BIT continues to expand workforce accessibility on a national and global scale.

In addition to its workforce development initiatives, BIT offers a range of other services to help organizations build more accessible and high-performing workplaces. From staffing services that connect businesses with top disability talent to corporate training on equitable hiring practices, BIT ensures companies are equipped for success. BIT, the only Salesforce-approved training provider for people with disabilities, also provides Salesforce consulting and managed services to optimize workflows and accessibility consulting to help organizations meet compliance standards and create inclusive digital experiences.
