About Safe Haven Dialogues LLC

Safe Haven Dialogues LLC was founded by Dr. Frank L. Douglas in 2020. As he watched the onlookers’ unsuccessful pleas for Officer Chauvin to remove his knee from George Floyd’s neck, he was impressed that, ultimately, it is the Individual being assaulted who suffers the most.

Dr. Douglas spent many years as an Executive and Leader in the Pharmaceutical industry as well as in Academia and had helped colleagues who sought his advice on ways to deal with incidents of Discrimination. He has personally dealt with Discrimination and realized that he had developed an approach to overcome the pain of those events. This contributed to his success in becoming the first Black person on the Board of Management of a Top 5 Global Pharmaceutical company.

Thus, the mission of Safe Haven Dialogues LLC is to empower Individuals to find productive solutions to episodes of Discrimination.

In its focus on the Individual, Safe Haven Dialogues LLC has introduced the Equity, Inclusion and Individual Engagement (EIIE) Principle as the next step in the evolution of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI). This principle proffers a focus on Engagement of the Individual as the metric to evaluate the effectiveness of Equity and Inclusion in an organization.

In February 2023, Dr. Douglas and Safe Haven Dialogues LLC released a book, entitled: Addressing Systemic Discrimination by Reframing the Problem. This book contains actual case histories which highlight and demonstrate the roles Equity and Inclusion play in Individual Engagement or motivation, and the Reframing Process.

Safe Haven Dialogues LLC is available to assist both Organizations and Individuals in finding productive solutions to problems that affect employee engagement and productivity.
