Prospectus is a career transition solution purpose-built for the AI era. Human career coaches work alongside technology that maps a person's skills to live labor market demand, so departing employees pursue roles the market is actually hiring for.

The problem we were built to solve

Most outplacement is technically used and lightly engaged. A departing employee activates an account, takes one generic coaching session, and quietly stops logging in. The employer pays for the full program and never learns that the support went unused. Prospectus was designed to be proactive, so people keep going after week one.

How the program works

Every participant starts with a skills inventory that is translated into ranked career pathways, each one validated against current hiring demand rather than against a job title they already left. Technology handles the repetitive work of skills mapping, pathway ranking, and daily prompts that keep momentum going. Human coaches handle the strategic and emotional moments, including narrative, negotiation, and the weeks when a search stalls. Participants also get structured networking support, because referrals, not applications, are what move most searches forward.

What employers see

Employers receive cohort-level reporting on how the program is actually being used, including time to a first viable career pathway, engagement over the life of the program, and networking outcomes. Reporting is cohort-level by design. Individual coaching conversations and personal reflections stay private to the participant.

How engagements start

Most organizations begin with a defined pilot on a non-binding agreement, which keeps legal and procurement friction low. A pilot covers a fixed number of offered seats over a set period, and employers are invoiced for the people who actually activate. Pilot scope and terms are set on a short intro call.

Who built it

Prospectus was built by career coaches and technologists who have been laid off themselves, several of whom used outplacement services they found generic and forgettable. We built the support we wished we had been handed. Built inside LG NOVA, the North America innovation arm of LG Electronics.
