What background checks does Bchex offer?

Criminal record searches (county, state, federal, and national), employment verification, education verification, professional license verification, motor vehicle records (MVR), drug and health screening, credit reports, sex offender registry searches, OIG/SAM exclusion list screening, FBI fingerprint checks, and international background checks. Continuous criminal monitoring is available for post-hire compliance.

How Bchex supports compliance

Bchex provides FCRA-compliant adverse action workflows, pre-adverse and adverse action notice automation, and ongoing guidance on state ban-the-box and fair chance hiring laws, EEOC guidance on the use of criminal records in hiring, and sector-specific requirements such as FBI fingerprint checks for K-12 and OIG exclusion screening for healthcare. We support state-specific rules across all 50 states, including California ICRAA and the California Fair Chance Act, New York Article 23-A, and Illinois, Washington, and Colorado disclosure requirements.
